Popular social media critic VeryDarkMan has reacted to the cancer claim made by Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO.
New Daily Prime reported that Blessing CEO announced on Wednesday that she was battling breast cancer.
In an emotional video, she said she had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and appealed to the public for financial assistance for treatment, including a possible breast amputation.

Following her announcement, many Nigerians, including celebrities, flooded social media with messages of support and encouragement. Several users expressed sympathy and offered prayers for her recovery.
However, VeryDarkMan took a different stance. In a video shared on his Instagram page on Thursday, he questioned the authenticity of her claim and called for proof to back it up.
“I just hope what Blessing CEO is saying is the truth,” he said. “Because I hope it is not a prank, clout chasing, or something she wants to use to gather money, because cancer is a very sensitive matter globally.”
Furthermore, he stressed that the illness is too serious to be used for attention or financial gain. He noted that cancer has affected many lives and should not be treated lightly under any circumstances.
“Cancer is not something that someone should joke with because it has claimed many lives,” he added.
In addition, the critic expressed doubts about the details provided by Blessing CEO. He pointed out that she had not shared any medical report from the hospital where she was allegedly diagnosed.
“I’m not convinced enough that Blessing CEO is saying the truth,” he said. “You did not provide the report of the hospital that diagnosed you.”
He also questioned the lack of transparency regarding the funds she claimed to have spent on her health. According to him, no receipts or supporting documents were presented to the public.
“You said a lot of resources have gone into your health. You did not put the receipts of the money you’ve been spending for the public to see,” he stated.
VeryDarkMan concluded by urging her to provide evidence to support her claims, insisting that emotional appeals alone were not sufficient.
“You just came with emotional blackmail. Post the proof here,” he said.
The reaction has since sparked mixed responses online. While some users supported his call for accountability and transparency, others criticised his approach, arguing that the situation required empathy and sensitivity.
Overall, the exchange highlighted the tension between public sympathy and demands for verification in cases involving serious health claims, especially when financial assistance is involved.
