The wife of Hakeem Odumosu, a retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police, has been rescued from the hands of her abductors through the operatives of Ogun State Command.
Recalled that on 16 January, Mrs. Odumosu was kidnapped from her residential home in the Arepo area of Ogun State at approximately 9:45 PM.
New Daily Prime gathered that two abductors were neutralised while four others flee their camp at creek in the swampy area of Ikorodu and the sum of N10 million paid for her ransom was also recovered, following a manhunt search by the officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
Other items recovered 4 Ak-47 rifles, 3 locally made single barrel rifles, ammunition of various calibers.
The Force spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed that the retired AIG wife was rescued unhurt.

“Police Neutralise AIG Hakeem Odumosu’s wife Kidnappers, Recovers Ransom,” Adejobi noted. “She is currently undergoing medical evaluation as a precautionary measure and has since been reunited with her family.”
Meanwhile, their efforts culminated in a raid on January 23, 2025, at around 06:45 AM.
The spokesperson said Kayode Egbetokun, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), commended the efforts of the police operatives and Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, for the successful operation.
