A forum association of governors elected under the Peoples Democratic Party, the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum, (PDP-GF), has commiserated with Senator Ahmed Makarfi, a former governor of Kaduna State over the death of his son.
Faisal, the eldest son of the former governor died in a car accident on the Kaduna-Zaria highway on Saturday evening.
Chairman of the forum, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, made the condolence in a statement issued by its Director-General, Emmanuel Agbo, on Monday in Abuja.
Also, commiserating with the Makarfi family, friends, and the people of Kaduna State over the loss, Mohammed said the party joined Makarfi, a former Chairman of the PDP National Caretaker Committee and incumbent Secretary of the party’s Board of Trustees, BOT, at this moment of grief.
Lamenting that though Faisal had gone too soon, the governor said he lived and passionately utilized the opportunities that each day presented, taking nothing for granted.
The forum prayed to God to grant the Makarfi family the fortitude to bear the loss and to rest the soul of the departed.
