Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, held a crucial meeting with contractors and heads of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) on Tuesday, aimed at reviewing the progress of ongoing projects and ensuring their timely completion.
The meeting, which took place in the Governor’s Office Conference Room in Ado-Ekiti, focused on the set deadlines and quality delivery of projects scheduled for completion this year.
During the meeting, Governor Oyebanji carefully examined progress reports on various ongoing projects across the state.
Contractors reiterated their commitment to meeting the agreed-upon deadlines for each project.
The governor emphasised the importance of taking advantage of the dry season to accelerate work, ensuring that the projects are delivered on time.

He also assured that appropriate authorities had been directed to ensure timely payments to contractors.

Governor Oyebanji reaffirmed his commitment to meeting deadlines for all ongoing projects, stressing that they were vital to improving the living conditions of Ekiti residents and boosting the state’s economic development.
He noted that new projects would be flagged off as part of the 2025 budget, making the timely completion of current projects even more essential.
To ensure accountability, the governor pledged to hold monthly review meetings with contractors and relevant agencies.
He also encouraged contractors to immediately report any challenges they might encounter during the execution of their projects.
Among the projects reviewed during the meeting were the Ado-Ekiti Ring Road, Ikere-Igbaraodo Road, Ado-Iworoko-Ifaki Road, Ikole-Ara-Isinbode Road, Igbaraodo-Ikogosi Road, Ikere-Ilawe Road, Ado-Ekiti flyover, and the International Cultural Centre, among others.

Contractors provided detailed updates on their work, while supervisory agencies presented their reports.
Governor Oyebanji had earlier pledged to complete all inherited projects from previous administrations and ensure that those embarked upon by his government are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
