Traditional worshippers across Osun State gathered on Tuesday, for a high-powered Isese prayer session, seeking spiritual guidance and stability for the state as it enters a pivotal election year.
The gathering, held in the state capital, saw the Traditional Worshippers Association of Osun State (TWARZO) offer fervent supplications to Olodumare, the Supreme Being for the continued success of the current administration and the peace of the “Land of Virtue.”
Governor Ademola Adeleke, who personally attended the session, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to religious inclusion.

Addressing the Isese community, the governor apologised for his absence at previous sessions but emphasized that his respect for indigenous traditions remains unshaken.
He attributed the milestones of the last three years—ranging from infrastructure consolidation to improved health ratings—to the collective prayers of all faiths.
“Our government will not regress,” Adeleke declared. “We will continue to deliver people-oriented governance and resist forces of oppression. Osun is firmly on the path to progress, and with the power of Olodumare, every evil plot to plunge this state into chaos has been spiritually nullified.”
In a move to strengthen ties with the traditional community, the governor announced new directives for his cabinet.
He tasked the Commissioner for Home Affairs and the Special Adviser on Traditional Matters with identifying and addressing the specific needs of the Isese community.
The governor reaffirmed the state’s support for traditional festivals and the preservation of Yoruba heritage as a tool for social cohesion.
Responding on behalf of the worshippers, the President of TWARZO, Oluseyi Atanda, commended Adeleke for moving beyond rhetoric to accord traditionalists their “rightful place” in the socio-political structure of Osun.

Atanda emphasised that traditional worshippers are vital stakeholders in communal harmony.
He concluded the session by pledging the association’s unwavering support for the “Imole” (light) administration, vowing that the traditional institution would sustain prayers for the governor’s leadership through the 2026 governorship polls and beyond to 2030.
