Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli has praised Nigerian filmmakers who continue to create despite rising production costs and economic challenges affecting the industry.
In a recent Instagram post, Oboli acknowledged the growing difficulties faced by creatives, including limited budgets, sleepless nights, and the risks involved in filmmaking in Nigeria.
“To every filmmaker still creating in Nollywood right now, take a bow,” she wrote.
According to Oboli, the resilience of filmmakers is helping to sustain Nollywood, even as inflation and logistical costs continue to rise. She noted that every project, regardless of where it is released, contributes to the growth of the industry.

The actress stressed that Nollywood’s progress depends not only on talent but also on determination and emotional strength. She described filmmaking in Nigeria as a demanding process that requires courage and belief.
“It takes more than talent. It takes resilience, belief, and heart,” she said.
