Poised to boost development in Ogun State ,Governor, Dapo Abiodun, today held a strategic meeting in Morocco with Dr Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), on how drive sustainable development in the state.
In a statement shared on the Ogun State Government’s X page, G Abiodun lauded the AfDB for its role in fostering connections between sub-national governments and potential investors, as well as providing critical financial backing for major infrastructure projects.
During the meeting, the governor outlined a series of transformative projects aimed at bolstering the state’s economy.
These include initiatives in livestock value addition, timber processing, and renewable energy investments in the power sector.
He also proposed plans to establish an automotive assembly plant and extend Lagos’ red and blue rail lines into the state, a move he said would enhance regional connectivity and stimulate economic growth.
“This engagement highlights our unwavering commitment to leveraging strategic partnerships and innovative financing solutions for the sustainable development of Ogun State,” the governor stated.
He further reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to create a prosperous future for the state through forward-thinking policies and initiatives.
The collaboration underscored the state’s ambition to position itself as a hub for industrial and infrastructural development in Nigeria, setting the stage for long-term economic progress.
