Following the death of Dr Adesina Olanloye, the Ogun State Government has announced the appointment of Mrs Feyisara Bolarinwa-Adebowale as the new Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement.
The announcement was made on Friday in a statement issued by the State Head of Service, Mr Kehinde Onasanya, noting that the appointment aligns with the state’s procurement law.
Succeeding the late Olanloye, the Head of Service noted that Mrs Bolarinwa-Adebowale’s ascension as the new Director-General was based on merit and a thorough selection process.
The statement read, “The new DG also meets the prescribed competencies, skills, and knowledge required for the position of Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement.”
Furthermore, Mr Onasanya charged the new appointee to carry out her duties in accordance with the laws guiding the bureau. He described the development as “part of Prince Dapo Abiodun’s government’s efforts.”
He added that the elevation aims “to strengthen due process and accountability in public contracting by ensuring that procurement policies are imbibed and implemented in line with international best practices and within the framework of government bureaucratic procedures.”
