The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has granted UZMA Aviation Services Limited an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to commence commercial flight operations.
The certificate was awarded on Wednesday in Abuja.
Capt. Chris Najomo, the Acting Director-General of the NCAA, commended the management of UZMA Aviation Services for meeting all regulatory requirements and standards during the application process.
However, he urged the airline to continue upholding safety, security, efficiency, and excellence throughout its operations.
In response, Mr Mohammed Abubakar, the Chairman of UZMA Aviation Services Limited, expressed gratitude to the NCAA for its support.
He acknowledged the NCAA’s commitment throughout the AOC process, from the initial stage to final approval.
“We are grateful for the trust NCAA has placed in us by granting us the AOC.
“We fully recognise the significance of this responsibility and assure NCAA that we will not take it lightly.
“We are committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, operational excellence, and compliance with all regulatory requirements,” Abubakar said.
Abubakar further emphasised the airline’s dedication to implement best practices, ensure safety and reliability in every aspect of their operations.
He also highlighted security as a critical component of their safety commitment, assuring that UZMA Aviation would implement advanced security measures to protect passengers and staff.
He also said that the airline’s IT support systems would include robust safeguards to protect sensitive data and ensure operational integrity.
“Our safety policy forms the foundation of our operations.
“We will strive to meet and exceed safety standards, ensuring that every passenger travels with confidence and peace of mind.
“Your safety is our mission, and we are dedicated to making that a reality every day,” he said.
