Socia media personality, Vincent Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has alleged that N180 million was stolen from his NGOโs account after it was hacked.
VDM had launched the Martins Vincent Osei Initiative, in October, raising over N35 million in donations within hours. Shortly after, he announced receiving a N100 million contribution from music producer Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy.
However, in a video shared on Instagram on Friday, the activist revealed that the funds were diverted into an unknown account.
The controversial activist wrote, โHonestly, Iโve not been myself for the past few days.
โSomebody hacked into the NGO website, and N180 million is missing. Thankfully, weโve tracked the person, and one suspect has been arrested.
โThe account is now on PND (Post No Debit). Thereโs N20 million left, while N160 million was diverted. Weโre heading to Jos to recover the money.โ
Otse further explained that he had to shut down the NGOโs app for maintenance to prevent further breaches and promised to provide updates on the situation.
