The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, in a statement signed by Olayinka Ojo, said the consultative sessions will bring together groups such as community development associations, traditional rulers, professional bodies, civil society organisations, youth groups, and people living with disabilities.
This inclusive approach, she noted, is a testament to the state government’s commitment to participatory governance and data-driven planning.
The Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Ope George, described the forums as a crucial element of the budgetary process, emphasising that they are designed to keep the voices of the people at the heart of governance.
He encouraged all residents to seize this opportunity to help shape the vision of a “Greater Lagos.”
The consultations are scheduled to take place across the five divisions of the state, beginning at 10 a.m. each day.
The exercise will open in the Ikeja Division on Tuesday, 9 September 2025, at the Multipurpose Hall, Radio Lagos, Agidingbi.
It will continue in the Lagos Division on Wednesday, 10 September, at Eko Club, Surulere, before moving to the Ikorodu Division on Thursday, 11 September, at Ikorodu Town Hall.
The Epe Division will host its session on Friday, 12 September, at Jubilee Chalet, Epe, while the final leg will be held in the Badagry Division on Tuesday, 16 September, at the Makanjuola Auditorium, Lagos State University, Ojo.
