Controversial clergy Chukwuemeka Cyril Ohanaemere best known as Prophet Odumeje has generated a lot of buzz online after claiming that he has been fasting and praying since 1996.
During a recent church service, he emphasised his deep commitment to this spiritual discipline.
According to him, he rarely eats since he is continuously in prayer and fasting, which he has done since 1996.
He claimed that he rarely eats at home and instead prays and fasts every day.
Addressing his congregation, Odumeje stated, “Since 1996, I’ve been in fasting and prayer till today.”
He went on to explain how his continuous commitment to prayer has resulted in a low intake of food, claiming that he “rarely eats at home” and focuses solely on his spiritual journey.
“I’m not a man of food. That is why when you come to my house, nobody will ask you, do you want to eat?” he said.
