Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has expressed profound condolences to Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, following the passing of his wife, Patience, after a brief illness.
During a condolence visit to Governor Umo Eno at the Government House in Uyo, Governor Mutfwang described the loss as a significant tragedy for the Eno family, Akwa Ibom State, and Nigeria as a whole.
“We are here to commiserate with you on the demise of your dear wife. Thank God He has begun to grant you the fortitude to bear this great loss. Death is always painful, as it leaves a void that only God can fill,” Governor Mutfwang said.

Reflecting on the late Mrs Eno’s life, Governor Mutfwang highlighted her invaluable role as a supportive pillar to her husband’s leadership, a moral compass, and a selfless servant of God and society.
He praised her integrity, compassion, and dedication to raising godly children who have positively impacted society.
“Her legacy of justice, fairness, and service to humanity will continue to inspire generations to come,” he added, praying for God’s strength and comfort for the bereaved family.

Governor Umo Eno expressed deep gratitude for the visit, calling it a significant act of solidarity during his time of sorrow. He described his late wife as his closest friend and companion of 40 years.
“She left at a time when her influence, service, and immense contributions were most needed,” he said, seeking divine strength for himself, their children, and the people of Akwa Ibom to endure the loss.
The Director General of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Emmanuel Agbo, and his team also extended their condolences, praying for divine comfort and strength for the grieving family and state.
