On Monday, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), congratulated Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Edo State governor-elect on his victory at the September 21 governorship election.
Ganduje, who spoke while closing the situation room set up at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja to monitor the election, said the APC will use lessons learned in Edo State to recover more states for the party.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, the National Chairman noted that the victory was a testament to the trust and hope placed in the visionary leadership of President Bola Tinubu.
He added that the successful outing also showcased the hard work and resilience of party members and supporters, who ensured that the election was free, fair, and peaceful.
Expressed confidence that with the coming of the governor-elect, Edo State was poised to witness unprecedented growth, peace, and development that would transform the lives of its citizens.
Ganduje assured that Okpebholo would continue to uphold the values of good governance, transparency, and service to the people, which he said are the bedrock of APC’s vision for Nigeria.
He noted that the ruling party remained committed to supporting Okpebholo’s administration and working together to ensure that the vision of a greater Edo State was achieved for the benefit of all.
The national chairman assured that APC would replicate the victory recorded in Edo State in the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo State.
