The Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, has approved the posting of newly promoted senior officers to various strategic positions across the Nigeria Police Force.
The redeployment affects officers recently elevated to the rank of assistant inspector-general of police (AIG), with key appointments spanning zonal commands and departments at the force headquarters in Abuja.
Among the postings, Moshood Jimoh, formerly the Lagos state commissioner of police, has been assigned to head Zone 2 command in Lagos. He is to be replaced by Olatunji Fatai as the new commissioner of police in the state.

Other postings include Ado Emmanuel to the department of research and planning; Joseph Eribo to the department of armament; Miller Dantawaye to the department of operations; and Henry Ifeanyi Uche to training and development — all at the force headquarters in Abuja.
Also redeployed are Olanrewaju Peter Ogunlowo to police accounts and budget; Dahiru Mohammed to Zone 15, Maiduguri; Dankombo F. Morris to Zone 4, Makurdi; and Bello Shehu to Zone 14, Katsina.
Others include Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba, posted to legal services; Ahmed Musa to community policing; Simeon Akpanudom to the FCID Annex in Lagos; and Haruna Olufemi to the special protection unit, all at the force headquarters.
The postings are part of ongoing efforts by the police leadership to strengthen operations, enhance efficiency, and reposition the force for improved service delivery nationwide.
