The Federal Government, FG, has condemned the recent killing of worshippers in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State, vowing to find and prosecute those responsible for the “callous and barbaric attack.”
According to a statement from the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, security forces are actively pursuing the perpetrators.

He assured the public that the criminals would be held accountable and that such acts of terror would not be tolerated.
Idris described the attack as an assault on both the local community and the nation’s shared values.
He noted that President Bola Tinubu offered his deepest sympathies to the victims’ families, the people of Malumfashi, and the state government.
He also highlighted recent successes in its fight against terrorism, noting the capture of several high-profile terrorist leaders, including Mahmud al-Nigeri and his deputy, Abu Abba, as well as Mahmud Muhammad Usman (Abu Baraa) of the Ansaru group.

He said the individuals were on an international wanted list.
Idris said the arrests were presented as evidence of the progress being made in Nigeria’s counter-terrorism operations under Tinubu’s directive.
