The Federal Government, through the Bank of Agriculture (BOA), has announced the opening of applications for the Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanisation Programme (RHAMP), a flagship initiative aimed at transforming Nigeria’s agricultural landscape and improving food security.
Launched in partnership with Heifer Nigeria, RHAMP seeks to empower a new generation of mechanisation service providers across the country, with a particular focus on women, youth, and agricultural mechanisation companies.
According to a flyer shared on Thursday by Dada Olusegun, Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Social Media, applications are free and currently open on the official BOA website, https://boanig.com, with a strict deadline of 10 November 2025.
The initiative provides participants access to affordable tractors and modern implements, backed by a three-year servicing plan through certified service centres and mobile hubs. It also features flexible repayment options tied to equipment usage and income generation, as well as digital monitoring systems using IoT technology to ensure efficiency and transparency.

Eligible applicants include women and youth agripreneurs aged 18–35, along with registered mechanisation companies seeking to expand their fleet or enhance operational capacity.
The programme offers competitive lease terms of three to five years, 15 per cent interest rates, and a 25 per cent down payment, with special concessions available for women and youth participants.
Officials say RHAMP marks a major step towards modernising Nigeria’s agricultural systems, boosting productivity, and improving rural livelihoods.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu first unveiled the programme in June 2025, promising to strengthen Nigeria’s drive toward self-sufficiency in food production. At the launch, he announced the deployment of 2,000 tractors, 50 industrial-grade land preparation bulldozers, 12 mobile workshops, and over 8,000 farming implements in the first phase.
“Today, we take a monumental leap forward with the introduction of state-of-the-art tractors through our new agricultural mechanisation programme. We are very proud of what we are doing,” Tinubu declared at the time.
