The Federal Government has launched a series of ministerial press briefings aimed at promoting transparency and accountability within the current administration.
During a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, revealed that President Bola Tinubu had directed all ministers to appear periodically before the media to provide updates on their activities and policies.
Idris explained that these briefings would serve as a platform for ministers to directly engage with Nigerians, share significant developments within their ministries, and address public concerns.
The minister further mentioned that the press briefings would be held weekly, with each minister taking turns to brief the public on the progress of their respective ministries.
These briefings come ahead of the second anniversary of President Tinubu’s administration, underscoring the government’s commitment to keeping citizens informed about its ongoing programmes and policies.
Further details are expected to follow in the coming days.
