The governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the Edo State election, Olumide Akpata, has praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after casting his vote.
Expressing his satisfaction in the voting process after casting his vote at polling unit 11, Ward 6 in Oredo Local Government Area, around 10:30am, Akpata expressed the hope that the voting process will be likewise hitch-free all over the state.
He appealed that nobody, especially his supporters, should be disenfranchised as the exercise continues.
Despite the rainfall that started around 10am in the state capital, electorates came out in large numbers at the ward.
