The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has reaffirmed the ministry’s unwavering commitment to providing the necessary support and resources for the Nigerian Armed Forces.

This was disclosed by the Minister’s Personal Assistant on Media, Ahmad Dan-Wudil, in a statement issued following the Passing Out Parade at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna on Sunday.

The parade marked the successful completion of intensive training for cadets of the 71 Regular Course, as well as Army and Air Force cadets from Direct Short Service Course 28 (DSSC 28) and Direct Short Service Course 32 (DSSC 32), respectively.

Speaking at the event, Mr Matawalle emphasised the ministry’s dedication to fostering peace, stability, and security across the country.

He congratulated the newly commissioned officers on their induction into the Nigerian Armed Forces, applauding their perseverance and commitment during their rigorous training.

The minister further highlighted the vital role these officers will play in addressing Nigeria’s evolving security challenges and maintaining national security.

“As part of tradition, several cadets were awarded for their exceptional performance in both academic and military training.

“As these newly commissioned officers begin their careers, they will be deployed to various security operations across Nigeria, playing a pivotal role in maintaining peace and protecting the sovereignty of the country”, the statement added.
