Afriland Towers in Broad Street market located in Idumota Lagos State is currently engulfed with fire.
The incident started around 1pm on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
Our correspondent observed efforts by traders and buyers to rescue individuals from the incident.
Cause of fire unknown yet
People affected in the incident were seeing on the floors of the tours finding an escape route. A man, yet-to-be identified passed out while efforts were on to resuscitate him.
Safety officials in theAfriland Towers in Broad Street market located in Idumota Lagos State is currently engulfed with fire. state have however arrived the scene. However, the cause of the fire and number of those affected are yet to be known as of the time of filling this report.
