The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a medical doctor suspected of transporting medical supplies from Sokoto to kidnapping gangs operating across parts of Kwara State.
According to Zagazola Makama, a counter insurgency expert confirmed that the suspect was intercepted in the Jebba axis following actionable intelligence tracking the movements of kidnappers and their couriers.

“The criminal groups have recently become more desperate for medical treatment after sustaining gunsh°t wounds during clashes with security operatives”, he quoted security officials as having said.
“A security source warned that the syndicates may attempt to infiltrate health facilities in remote, forest-fringe communities in search of urgent medical attention”.
“We are advising improved security measures in health centres located near thick forest areas, as these kidnappers may target them,” the official said.
