Bago commended the 10th Niger State House of Assembly for what he described as the timely and efficient passage of the budget, praising the lawmakers for their cooperation with the executive arm of government.
He scored the Assembly “100 per cent,” noting that the speed and synergy between the legislature and the executive were unprecedented and a reflection of democratic governance.
The governor also singled out the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Planning, Hajiya Aishat Teni Usman, and her team for their role in coordinating the budget process, assuring residents that the 2026 budget would be fully implemented to achieve its objectives.
Earlier, the Speaker of the House, Abdulmalik Sarkindaji, described the budget as comprehensive and easy to scrutinise, attributing the smooth screening process to the cooperation of ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs).
Sarkindaji commended Bago for his leadership, commitment to development and good governance, while reaffirming the Assembly’s continued partnership with the executive to advance the state’s progress.
