The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Nentawe Yilwatda, has arrived in Kebbi State, accompanied by Engr Ahmad Faruk, Managing Director of the Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).
Their visit precedes a key Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) meeting and the official commissioning of the Tinubu Kauran Gwandu Movement for Continuity (TKG) State Secretariat.
The duo was warmly received at Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport in Birnin Kebbi by Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Kana, the APC Kebbi State Chairman.
The arrival sets the stage for a series of high-level engagements aimed at strengthening party unity and advancing the APC’s agenda ahead of future elections.
The highlight of the visit is a two-day closed-door PGF meeting scheduled at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi.
The forum will convene all APC-elected governors to deliberate on pressing national and party-related matters, including economic policies, security challenges, and strategies for the 2027 general elections.
Sources indicate that discussions will also touch on the implementation of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda at the state level.
Following the PGF session, Engr Faruk will lead the commissioning of the TKG State Secretariat, a significant milestone for the movement dedicated to promoting continuity in governance and development in Kebbi and beyond.
The TKG, under Faruk’s stewardship, has been instrumental in mobilising grassroots support for APC initiatives in the North-West region.
Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to the Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris, confirmed the arrangements, stating that the PGF Chairman will address the media on the outcomes of the deliberations once concluded.
“This gathering underscores the APC’s commitment to collaborative leadership and inclusive governance,” Idris remarked, highlighting Kebbi’s role as a pivotal hub for progressive politics.
