The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Ayoola Olajolo as the new Director of Administration at its National Secretariat, signaling a strategic move to strengthen its administrative framework.
The announcement, made by APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka on Friday, September 5, underscores the party’s commitment to enhancing operational efficiency as it consolidates its political dominance.
In a statement, Morka congratulated Olajolo, expressing confidence in his ability to excel in the role.
“Mr. Olajolo brings his experience in local government administration and diverse public policy perspectives to his new role as Director of Administration,” the statement read.
Oljolo, a legal practitioner and seasoned public administrator, is tasked with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the National Secretariat, implementing innovative systems, managing human resources, and ensuring the seamless execution of the party’s programs and activities.
A native of Ile-Ife, Osun State, Olajolo brings over two decades of experience to the position.
Olajolo from Nigerian Bar to politics
Called to the Nigerian Bar in 2016, he began his public service career in local governance, serving as Secretary of Ife Central Local Government from 1999 to 2003 before being elected Chairman.
His tenure at the local level equipped him with grassroots political insight and administrative expertise.
Olajolo later joined the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), rising to Assistant Chief Legal Officer, where he managed complex administrative and legal processes, further honing his skills in public administration.
The APC’s appointment of Olajolo comes at a time when the party is reinforcing its dominance, with 72 Senate seats and recent high-profile defections from opposition parties.
His role is pivotal in streamlining the party’s operations to support its Renewed Hope Agenda under President Bola Tinubu.
The party extended its congratulations to Olajolo, wishing him success in his new role.
