The Lagos State Government, through the operatives of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) of Badagry Command, has announced the arrest of three notorious suspected human traffickers’ syndicates, including a minor.

The suspects, Damilola Bashiru, 17, a resident of Posukoh; Afolabi Senami, 22; and Christian Loveth, 25, were apprehended within Badagry in Lagos State.

According to the LNSC on Sunday, the three suspects were said to have been arrested on 28 April following weeks of surveillance and intelligence gathering.

Further details revealed that Bashiru and Senami are recruiters working for Loveth.

Loveth who hails from Abia State but resides at Singbomeh Quarter, Mowo, Badagry is the major target and alleged mastermind of the trafficking operation.

The report noted that two young women — Hungbo Dorcas, age 22 of Ajara Vetho, Badagry, and Muhammed Taiwo, age 21 of Ajara Agamathen.

Also, New Daily Prime learnt that another victim, Ezun Ayomide, age 21, was also trafficked by the same suspect.

“During interrogation, it was discovered that Loveth coordinated the illegal transit of her victims using a commercial driver identified as Freedom Ibe, operating out of the Mazamaza motor park in Lagos,” LNSC noted in the statement shared.

Meanwhile, for more investigation and prosecution, the three suspects have been handed over to the security force of Badagry Division.

“The LNSC reiterated its commitment to curbing human trafficking and other criminal activities across Lagos communities,” LNSC added.
