The Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr. Muyi Aina, has charged newly recruited staff of the agency to seize the opportunity provided by the Federal Government to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s health system while advancing their own careers.
Aina, who spoke during the official commencement of onboarding and training for 126 fresh employees of the agency, said President Bola Tinubu’s administration remains committed to tackling long-standing challenges in Nigeria’s health sector.
He urged the recruits to uphold strong values, dedicate themselves to learning, and put in their best efforts as they begin their service.
According to him, the induction programme forms part of the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda (RHA) aimed at creating jobs for Nigerians and strengthening institutions that deliver essential services.

Since inception, the academy has trained four cohorts of employees and graduated 55 fellows across two sets.
In a statement signed on Thursday by the agency’s Director of Advocacy and Communication, Dr. Ladan Aliyu, NPHCDA reiterated its mandate to provide technical and programmatic support to states, local governments, and stakeholders to ensure effective planning, implementation and supervision of primary health care services nationwide.
