The accident occurred along the Nteje-Awka road, near the New Terminal at Ukpo Junction in Dunukofia Local Government Area (LGA).

The crash, which happened around 9 p.m., involved a Mack tanker without a registration number and a Toyota Hiace bus registered as EKP375XM.
