Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has publicly advised her colleague Regina Daniels to walk away from her marriage to Senator Ned Nwoko if the reports of domestic violence are true.
Jegede’s statement comes amid growing public concern following Ned Nwoko’s recent claims accusing Regina of drug and alcohol abuse, as well as violent behavior at home.
In an Instagram post that has since gone viral, Yvonne Jegede urged Regina Daniels not to remain in a toxic environment, stressing that no amount of wealth, fame, or status should make anyone endure violence in a relationship.

She encouraged Regina to take bold steps toward protecting her peace and prioritizing her mental health.
Jegede wrote:
“Regina, you are still very young. If there’s violence in your marriage, please carry your bag. There is never sugarcoating for me as long as violence is involved, both for man and woman.”
The actress emphasized that violence is never acceptable, regardless of who the victim is, and that protecting one’s emotional and physical safety should come before maintaining appearances or status.
She further urged Regina to think about her children’s well-being and the long-term impact that an unhealthy marriage could have on them.
Yvonne Jegede, known for her outspokenness and advocacy for women’s empowerment, frequently uses her platform to address issues surrounding domestic violence, gender inequality, and self-worth.
Her comments on the matter have resonated with many Nigerians, sparking a wave of conversations about the pressures faced by young women in high-profile marriages.
Her advice follows a disturbing post made by Senator Ned Nwoko on Facebook, where he accused Regina Daniels of engaging in drug and alcohol abuse, claiming her actions had resulted in violence, assault, and destruction of property. The senator alleged that Regina attacked three members of his household staff and caused extensive damage to vehicles and windows in his home.
According to Nwoko, the actress’s alleged substance abuse has created instability in their home and endangered their family. He revealed that he had encouraged Regina to continue rehabilitation either in Asokoro or abroad, particularly in Jordan, where she would have limited access to drugs.
He wrote:
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety. Now she has moved to a place where she will have unrestricted access to drugs.”
He further claimed that Regina threatened to kill a nurse who exposed her alleged drug habits and accused two individuals, named Sammy and Ann, of supplying her with drugs.
While Regina Daniels has not yet publicly responded to the allegations, the story has taken social media by storm, drawing mixed reactions from fans, celebrities, and the general public.
Many fans have also pointed out that Regina Daniels, who married Ned Nwoko in 2019 at the age of 19, has faced intense scrutiny ever since her marriage to the billionaire politician, who is over three decades her senior.
Her union, which initially drew heavy criticism due to the age gap, has since been the subject of various controversies.
Jegede’s statement, however, has been praised for its honesty and compassion. By urging Regina to choose peace over pain, she has reignited an important conversation about domestic violence, accountability, and the importance of mental health, even for celebrities.
As the story continues to unfold, Nigerians are watching closely to see if Regina Daniels will respond to both her husband’s accusations and Yvonne Jegede’s advice.
For now, Jegede’s message stands as a strong reminder that no relationship, no matter how glamorous, is worth sacrificing one’s peace, safety, and dignity.
