Nollywood actress and filmmaker Etinosa Idemudia has expressed deep distress after her movie, Secret Keeper, was taken down from YouTube following a copyright complaint.
In an emotional Instagram post, Etinosa said the removal of the film was devastating, especially considering the time, resources, and passion she invested into the project.
She described the movie as a product of “years of dreaming, months of work, sleepless nights, and everything I had to give.”

According to her, the copyright claim was filed by an entity identified as Diamond Films, a group she insists has no legal right to the project.
“I just got the most painful notification ever. My film, Secret Keeper, that I poured my ideas, my money, time, and sweat, and every piece of my heart into, was unfairly taken down by someone who has no right to claim it,” Idemudia wrote.
“‘Diamond Films’, I don’t know who you are, and I’m dying to know why you will do such a wicked thing to me. I’m so hurt because this project isn’t just a video to me… To see it removed so cruelly, it feels like… I’m fighting tears.”
Idemudia assured fans that she is taking steps to resolve the issue and restore the film on the platform. She thanked viewers and supporters who alerted her to the takedown and offered encouragement during the ordeal.
“I want you all to know this isn’t the end. I’m fighting to get our movie back. Your support is the only thing keeping me going right now,” she said. “No matter how hard this gets, I won’t stop. This film will come back, so help me God.”
Secret Keeper had been gaining traction online before its removal, with many fans praising Etinosa’s storytelling and directorial growth.
