Actress Yewande Adekoya has opened up about a miscarriage she experienced in 2013, describing the painful episode as a turning point that strengthened her faith in God.
Speaking in a video shared on Instagram, Adekoya recalled that the incident occurred during her first pregnancy. She said she was rushed to the hospital after experiencing heavy bleeding and was informed that she had lost the baby.

According to the actress, doctors explained that an evacuation procedure would be required, a prospect that deeply frightened her and added to her emotional distress.
“I was already in pain and devastated about losing my baby. I was also scared of the evacuation process because I had been told it was very painful,” she said, noting that the experience left her crying throughout the night.
Adekoya described the period as both devastating and terrifying, especially because it was her first pregnancy. However, she said the situation took an unexpected turn after a vivid dream that night.
In the dream, she recounted seeing a man dressed in white, whom she described as looking like a doctor, informing her that it was time for the procedure. Shortly after waking up, she realised that the miscarriage had completed naturally.
When she was later examined by doctors, Adekoya said medical tests confirmed that there was no longer any need for an evacuation, and she was cleared to return home.
Reflecting on the experience years later, the actress said it reinforced her belief in God’s presence and intervention in her life.
“I cannot say there is no God,” she stated. “I have experienced things that I know are not ordinary.”
