Wizkid’s father, Munir Balogun, has weighed in on the ongoing feud between his son and fellow artist, Davido.
In an interview with The Punch, Mr Balogun revealed that he advised the ‘Essence’ hitmaker to disregard any negative comments or criticisms coming from Davido’s supporters.
He emphasised his belief that many of these individuals are driven by personal gain—whether financial or otherwise—when they engage in such behaviour.

“I told my son that he shouldn’t look or listen to whatever the boys who are supporters of Davido are saying. The supporters are only looking for what they will say to collect money and all of that.”
Mr Balogun stressed that he has advised his son to stay composed and not let impulsive actions or hurtful words affect him deeply.
