Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Wizkid has revealed that he wants fellow artist Asake to perform at his wedding.
The Starboy boss shared this during a recent appearance on Apple Music Radio alongside DJ Tunez, where he praised Asake’s talent and influence on African music.
Wizkid explained that Asake’s hit song “Omo Ope” instantly made him a fan, but “Remember” remains his favourite track. He told Asake that he would like the song performed at his wedding, describing it as “an amazing record.”

“You Omo Ope made me an Asake fan from the first listen. But my favourite Asake song is Remember. I think you have to play that one on my wedding day. It is an amazing record,” Wizkid said during the interview.
The Starboy singer also commended Asake’s vocal talent, calling him “one of the most special voices from home [Africa] and in the world.”
He further described the Lonely At The Top crooner as “a blessing to African music,” emphasising the impact of Asake’s artistry on the global stage.
“You are amazing. I have told you that like a million times, and I am saying it again on the radio. You are a blessing to African music,” Wizkid added.
Wizkid, who is currently in a romantic relationship with his third baby mama and manager, Japa P, has three children with her, two boys and a girl.
The singer has teased the idea of his wedding for years, and fans have been eagerly anticipating updates on his nuptials.
