Pastor Foluke Adeboye, wife of renowned cleric Enoch Adeboye, has opened up about a significant personal sacrifice she made after giving her life to Christ.
In a resurfaced throwback video now circulating online, the senior figure in the Redeemed Christian Church of God shared how her lifestyle changed drastically in the early days of her faith journey.

According to her, before becoming born again, she had a deep love for fashion and owned several gold items, including jewellery she had already set aside for her young child, who was under two years old at the time.
However, upon embracing her new faith, she explained that wearing such items became discouraged within the church, prompting her to make a decisive change.
“Every woman loves fashion. By the time we became born again, it was a taboo for you to have them,” she said.
Folu revealed that instead of keeping or selling the valuables, she chose to dispose of them entirely by throwing them into the lagoon.
She recounted how a family friend questioned her decision, suggesting she could have given the jewellery to her mother to sell, but she declined the option.
“Whatever is not good for me is not good for my mother,” she explained.
She further disclosed that she briefly turned to using copper accessories as an alternative, admitting that she spent a considerable amount on them at the time.
Despite the magnitude of the sacrifice, Folu Adeboye emphasised that she has no regrets about her decision, maintaining that her commitment to her faith outweighed material possessions.
“What would I say I miss? Not much, I have already sold myself,” she added.
