Social media critic, VeryDarkMan (real name Vincent Otse), has once again addressed the controversy surrounding the death of Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
New Daily Prime recalls that, Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, under mysterious and suspicious circumstances, and he was buried the following day.
Despite various efforts by his family, authorities, and other stakeholders to investigate the cause of his death, there has been no conclusive outcome.
In a recent video on his Instagram page, VeryDarkMan, also known as VDM, revisited the case, expressing frustration over the lack of justice for the late artist.
He claimed that despite the investigations, the real truth remains obscured. Earlier, VDM had publicly called for a DNA test, insinuating that Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, might have information regarding the circumstances surrounding her husband’s untimely death.
His comments stirred controversy online, prompting discussions about the true nature of Mohbad’s demise.
However, in a significant shift in his stance, VDM has now pointed fingers at Mohbad’s former employer, Naira Marley, and his associate, Sam Larry.
In his recent statement, he suggested that the duo may have crucial information about the events leading to Mohbad’s death but have deliberately chosen to remain silent.
VDM stated, “Mohbad did not receive justice at the end of the day. The real distraction was not the DNA test; the distraction was Naira Marley and Sam Larry. They know what happened to him; all of them know. Yet, up till now, nobody has presented any evidence proving that Sam Larry or Naira Marley was directly involved in Mohbad’s death. But they know what happened on that day.”
He furthermore expressed his belief that the two were aware of the events leading to Mohbad’s death and suggested that they may have chosen to conceal the truth.
VDM emphasized that there appears to be a coordinated effort to keep the full story from emerging, accusing them of covering up crucial information that could help in delivering justice.
“Everyone involved knows themselves,” he continued. “They know what happened that day, but they covered it up. They were trying to settle scores related to whatever issues they had with Mohbad.”
VDM also highlighted that, although various incidents of abuse against Mohbad had been reported, only one incident was captured on video and circulated online.
He criticized the fact that the footage was “cropped,” implying that it was edited to conceal the full extent of what Mohbad went through at the hands of those close to him.
The case of Mohbad’s death has captured national attention, with fans, fellow musicians, and the public demanding justice.
However, as VeryDarkMan pointed out, the authorities have yet to present definitive evidence or make any arrests related to the singer’s death.
He reiterated that the involvement of key figures like Naira Marley and Sam Larry must be fully examined to uncover the truth behind Mohbad’s untimely passing.
VeryDarkMan’s comments have reignited debates online, with many calling for a renewed and transparent investigation into the events surrounding Mohbad’s death.
While authorities continue their inquiry, the pressure from fans and critics like VDM suggests that this case is far from closed, and the demand for justice persists.
