Popular Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has advised single women to focus on self-development, personal growth, and adding value to themselves before aspiring to marry wealthy and caring men.
The actor gave this advice while reacting to the widespread admiration his character, Odogwu, received on social media following the release of the movie Love In Every World 2.
In the romantic drama, Arukwe plays the role of a rich, kind-hearted billionaire whose love, support, and affection for his partner, Chioma, played by reality TV star Bambam, captivated audiences.

After the movie’s release, fans flooded social media, praising Odogwu as the perfect example of an ideal man.
Many women expressed their desire to have such a loving, understanding, and supportive partner in real life.
However, Arukwe noted that while it’s easy to admire Odogwu’s wealth and generosity, many fans overlook the fact that his love interest, Chioma, was already a valuable and industrious woman before he came into her life.
According to him, the character of Chioma embodied hard work, focus, and determination, qualities that made her stand out and worthy of the love she received from Odogwu.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Arukwe shared a message that has since gone viral among fans and film enthusiasts.
“While we are basking in our delulu, it’s important to remember that Odogwu saw Chioma as a valuable woman before throwing his full weight to support her.
He didn’t even need to ask what she brings to the table because it was clear she’s an industrious woman.
So as a woman, build value for yourself first, and your Odogwu will locate you to become your helpmate that makes everything easier to handle,” he wrote.
Arukwe explained that relationships built on mutual value and respect are more likely to last than those based solely on material gain or expectations.
He stressed that women should not view wealthy or successful men as the ultimate solution to their problems but should first work on becoming the best version of themselves.
The actor added that the era of depending entirely on a man for validation or survival is fading fast, noting that modern relationships thrive when both partners bring something meaningful to the table, whether it be emotional intelligence, ambition, or moral strength.
He further encouraged young women to invest their time and energy in education, business, or personal development before seeking serious relationships.
By doing so, he said, they not only attract the right kind of partners but also gain the confidence to sustain meaningful relationships built on respect and shared purpose.
Arukwe’s message has sparked a conversation on social media about the importance of self-worth and balance in relationships, with many praising the actor for using his platform to promote empowerment and realistic expectations in love and marriage.
