Famous American singer and songwriter, Taylor Swift, has reassured fans that marriage will not mark the end of her music career.
The “Life Of A Showgirl” crooner clarified during an interview with BBC Radio 2, where she addressed ongoing speculation that she would retire from music following her recent engagement to American football star Travis Kelce.
Swift firmly dismissed the rumours, emphasizing that marriage should not mean abandoning one’s passion or career. She noted that her fiancé fully supports her artistic journey and understands how deeply fulfilled she feels by creating music.

“It’s not why people get married so that they can quit their job. Oh, I know they love to panic sometimes, but it’s like I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music,” Swift said.
The Grammy-winning artist, who has spent over a decade at the forefront of global pop music, explained that her commitment to songwriting and performing remains stronger than ever, even as she prepares for the next chapter of her personal life.
Swift also hinted that her upcoming marriage may even inspire more music, as many of her albums, including Lover and Midnights, have drawn from her personal experiences and romantic life.
“Love has always been a part of my story, and I’m sure it will keep influencing my music in beautiful ways,” she reportedly told the BBC host.
The singer’s engagement to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was confirmed earlier this year after two years of dating.
The couple first sparked romance rumours in the summer of 2023, when Swift was spotted attending several of Kelce’s NFL games.
Since then, their relationship has become one of the most talked-about celebrity pairings in the entertainment world, celebrated for its authenticity and mutual support.
With Swift’s assurance, fans can expect more chart-topping music and heartfelt lyrics from the global superstar in the years ahead.
