Former Big Brother Naija stars, Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, and Phyna, have both voiced their outrage over how Nigerians are reacting to actress Regina Daniels’ recent rape and assault allegations.
Tacha, in a series of posts on her X (formerly Twitter) handle, condemned the public’s insensitivity toward Daniels’ claims, saying that being a woman in Nigeria “feels like a crime.”
She expressed disappointment that instead of demanding justice for the actress, many Nigerians chose to mock and criticise her over her lifestyle.

“Being a woman in this part of the world feels like a crime,” she wrote.
“Someone cries out that she’s been raped, drugged, and beaten, and instead of outrage, society starts dragging her for flying private jets and traveling the world.
So because she lived well, she deserves to be abused?
That’s the sickness of this society, a place where people justify violence against women but envy their freedom.
At this point, what hope does the girl child even have?”
Tacha ended her post with the hashtags #ProtectWomen and #JusticeForReginaDaniels, joining the growing chorus of celebrities and fans demanding accountability and justice.
Echoing similar sentiments, former BBNaija winner Phyna also reacted via her X account, describing the situation as heartbreaking.
“A girl gets injected and raped in a man’s house, steady hospital yet everybody is laughing. Omo…Being a woman is hard,” she wrote.

Their reactions come amid a wave of social media debates surrounding Regina Daniels’ allegations that she was drugged, raped, and physically assaulted.
The controversy has reignited broader conversations about gender-based violence, misogyny, and the stigma victims face when speaking out in Nigeria.
