Global streaming platform Spotify has unveiled its list of the Top Afrobeats Artists of 2025, with Nigerian music stars dominating the chart.
Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy secured the No. 1 spot, reaffirming his status as one of Afrobeats’ most influential global ambassadors.
He is followed by Rema in second place and Wizkid in third. Asake and Ayra Starr, who recently signed with Roc Nation, completed the top five.
Notably, Davido, often described as part of Afrobeats’ “Big 3” alongside Wizkid and Burna Boy, was absent from the ranking, sparking conversations among fans about the criteria behind the selections.
In addition to the artists’ chart, Spotify revealed the countries where Afrobeats enjoyed the highest consumption in 2025.

The United States topped the list, followed by Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Nigeria.
