Sophia Momodu, the first babymama of Nigerian music star Davido, has claimed that she has not received any form of child support from the singer in the past five years.
She made the revelation while addressing what she described as an attempt to push a false narrative about the well-being of their daughter, Imade Adeleke.
In a detailed statement shared on her Instagram story on Wednesday, Sophia stated that she has singlehandedly taken responsibility for Imade’s welfare for years.

According to her, the seven-year-old has never lacked anything despite the absence of financial assistance from her father.
“I have not received any child support from Davido, but our child knows no lack. She’s growing in a safe and loving environment and she is very happy,” she said.
Sophia stressed that Imade enjoys a healthy relationship with both her parents but urged the public to refrain from dragging her daughter into controversies. She appealed to social media users to stop linking the child to fabricated online narratives, noting that the constant attention is unnecessary and unfair.
Her statement comes days after she was heavily criticised online for allegedly preventing Imade from attending Davido’s 33rd birthday celebration in Atlanta. The claims sparked conversations across social media, with many accusing her of deliberately keeping the child away from the singer.
Sophia, however, insisted that many of the circulating claims were false and urged the public to be more sensitive when discussing issues involving minors. She maintained that her priority remains ensuring a stable, safe, and loving environment for her daughter.
As of now, Davido has not publicly responded to the latest claims.
