The remains of popular Nigerian skit maker and content creator, Raji Samad Adetola, widely known as Sanku Comedy, were laid to rest at the Muslim Cemetery in Osogbo, Osun State, on Tuesday afternoon.
Sanku tragically lost his life in a ghastly motor accident along the Oyo–Ogbomoso Road in Oyo State during the early hours of Monday.
He was reportedly travelling with a friend when their vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a ditch. Both victims were rushed to a nearby hospital but were later pronounced dead.
The news of his passing sent shockwaves across social media, where fans, fellow comedians, and colleagues in the entertainment industry expressed grief over the sudden loss.

His burial, conducted in line with Islamic rites, drew family, friends, and sympathisers who gathered to pay their last respects.
Sanku Comedy rose to prominence with his unique brand of storytelling and comedic skits, which quickly earned him a large following online. He began his content creation journey in 2021 and, within a short time, carved a niche for himself in the competitive world of digital comedy.
Nollywood actress Funmi Awelewa had earlier taken to Instagram to share her concern over his condition after the crash, revealing that one of her students living near Bowen Hospital had assured her he was responding to treatment. Sadly, despite prayers and hope for his recovery, the young comedian passed away.
Tributes continue to pour in, with fans hailing his creativity, humility, and ability to make people laugh even in difficult times.
Sanku’s death is a painful reminder of the fragile nature of life and the dangers of road accidents on Nigerian highways.
