Actor, content creator, and former Big Brother Naija housemate Adeoluwa “Saga” Okusaga has shared how he approaches on-screen intimacy and the inspiration behind his upcoming romantic drama, Falling Notes.
In a candid interview with Jay On Air, the 2021 BBNaija housemate discussed the importance of consent, communication, and professionalism when shooting romantic scenes.
Saga, who transitioned from being an engineer to a full-time entertainer and filmmaker, explained that he always establishes clear boundaries before any kissing or intimate scenes.

“Before I get into kissing any actor, I sit with her and I tell you how we’re gonna go about this,” he said. “I use my hand to describe it, it’s gonna be quick. We need to know what it is because you don’t want to have your lips locked and then the person is trying to evade your mouth.”
He stressed that proper communication ensures comfort and mutual respect, allowing both actors to focus on delivering authentic performances.
Speaking on the inspiration behind his upcoming movie, Saga revealed that Falling Notes was conceived in January 2025 as part of his creative evolution beyond reality TV.
“Speaking of my upcoming movie Falling Notes, I said, ‘What can I do? I need to do something.’ It was heavy on my heart in January this year,” he explained.
“People have done painting, so I said, ‘Let me sing.’ So I’m saying here for the first time that I sang in Falling Notes.”
The romantic drama, which he describes as both emotional and expressive, reflects his artistic growth and determination to explore different facets of creativity, from acting and directing to music and painting.
Saga also credited fellow BBNaija star and dancer Roseline “Liquorose” Afije for playing a significant role in his creative journey.
The two, who have been frequent collaborators since their time on the show, became known for their series of romantic skits and short films dubbed “Couple Chronicles.”
“I knew that people wouldn’t take me seriously until they see what I could do,” Saga said. “So I called Liquorose, and we started cooking up different content, it was back-to-back every week for like two years.”
Their chemistry and consistency on social media attracted the attention of filmmakers and producers, leading to new acting opportunities for Saga.
“From that point, I can tell you every producer that has called me to work on their set called me because of those contents I created,” he noted proudly.
Before his rise to fame on BBNaija Season 6 (Shine Ya Eye), Saga worked as an offshore engineer while pursuing art as a side passion.
His journey into the entertainment industry has since evolved into a dynamic career that merges his creativity, discipline, and storytelling skills.
With Falling Notes set to mark a new chapter in his career, Saga’s story reflects the resilience and versatility that define Nigeria’s new generation of creatives, breaking boundaries across art, film, and music.
“This project is me expressing everything I am, an artist, a storyteller, and a dreamer,” Saga concluded.
Falling Notes is expected to premiere later this year, marking Saga’s official debut as a lead actor and filmmaker, and offering fans a fresh glimpse into his artistic depth beyond reality TV fame.
