Popular Nigerian comedian Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, better known as Sabinus, has shared a painful relationship experience, describing love as “cruel” after a former lover left him despite his expensive gestures of affection.
Sabinus made the revelation during a recent livestream with TikToker Sandra Benede, where he said he strongly relates to what TikTok star Peller is currently going through following his breakup with girlfriend Jarvis.

According to the comedian, he has once been in a similar emotional situation and understands why Peller has been publicly expressing his pain after the failed relationship.
Sabinus recalled gifting a former lover a Range Rover out of love, only for the relationship to end eventually, a decision he said he deeply regretted.
“Jarvis has finished Peller. I have been in Peller’s situation before. Love is cruel. I once gifted a girl Range Rover because of love. She later left me. I regretted it. So nobody should blame Peller,” he said.
He urged Nigerians to show empathy toward Peller, stressing that heartbreak can push people into emotional distress and irrational behaviour.
New Daily Prime recalls that Sabinus also confirmed in December 2025 that his marriage to his wife and the mother of his child, Ciana Chapman, had ended. The couple got married privately in 2023, and their union lasted just over a year.
