Nollywood actress and filmmaker Regina Daniels has raised serious concerns over the alleged arrest and detention of her younger brother, Sammy Daniels, claiming that he has been held incommunicado for more than 24 hours.
The actress made the revelation in a series of posts shared on her verified Instagram page on Wednesday, calling on the authorities to provide answers regarding her brother’s safety and location.

The development comes amid the ongoing controversy surrounding her marriage to billionaire politician Senator Ned Nwoko, which has drawn massive attention on social media in recent days.
Regina, visibly distressed, expressed frustration that her family had been unable to reach Sammy or get any official explanation from the law enforcement agencies allegedly responsible for his detention.
“Finally, some people now have a video that can make them think they can mock me, chai! But it’s okay. My entire focus right now is to know the whereabouts of my brother. WHERE IS SAMMY NED!!!” she wrote.
She went on to criticize what she described as the failure of senior police officers to intervene or offer meaningful help, expressing disbelief that the “highest authorities in the police force” could claim their “hands are tied.”
“Imagine one of the highest authorities in the police force, or if not the highest, saying his hands are tied! Like, ogini bu ihe!” she lamented.
The actress, who has been trending on social media following revelations about her troubled marriage, described the situation as a test of her strength, insisting that she would not back down or be intimidated by anyone attempting to silence her or her family.
“Now this fight is going to be power for power, or rather aura for aura. It’s such a pity. #FreeSammy. For the record, I don’t regret anything. Na only I carry my leg, but this was a route I was meant to take, not my final destination,” she declared.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement from the Nigerian Police Force or any security agency confirming or denying Sammy Daniels’ arrest or current whereabouts.
The incident adds another layer of tension to the actress’s ongoing marital controversy, which has already drawn significant public scrutiny.
