Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has accused her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of using law enforcement agencies to intimidate and harass people close to her amid their ongoing marital dispute.
In a lengthy statement shared on her official Facebook page on Tuesday, Daniels alleged that her close friend, identified as Ann, was arrested not for committing any crime but because of her association with the actress.

“Yesterday, my dearest close friend Ann was arrested. Not because she committed a crime but because she is associated with me,” Daniels wrote.
The actress questioned what she described as a pattern of intimidation following her decision to leave what she termed a “toxic marriage,” asking when divorce proceedings in Nigeria turned into a “battlefield where innocent people become collateral damage.”
Daniels further accused the Nigerian Police Force of allowing itself to be used in settling personal and marital disputes, particularly by more powerful individuals. According to her, authorities were aware that the arrests and allegations were not rooted in justice but were instead designed to humiliate, frustrate, and emotionally destabilise her and her family.
“What breaks my heart the most is that the Nigerian Police are not unaware of what is happening. They know when allegations are fabricated, designed only to intimidate,” she stated.
Expressing concern for the safety of her friend, Daniels said she also fears for her own life, describing the situation as “terrifying,” especially when, according to her, efforts by elders and well-meaning individuals to intervene have failed.
The actress alleged that the dispute has gone through several phases, beginning with what she described as a domestic violence case that was “deliberately buried,” followed by accusations of drug addiction. She claimed that after she voluntarily cleared herself of those allegations in the interest of peace, new accusations emerged.
According to Daniels, the latest claims include theft, cyberbullying, and assault, with her friend Ann initially accused of being a drug supplier before the narrative allegedly shifted to theft-related allegations.
“How many lies will it take to bury the truth?” she asked in the post, directly addressing Senator Nwoko and questioning his motives.
Daniels insisted that the situation was no longer a personal disagreement but a serious matter affecting real lives, stressing that it was not a game to her.
The statement was signed by “Regina Daniels, Communication Team.” As of the time of filing this report, Senator Ned Nwoko and the Nigerian Police Force have not publicly responded to the allegations.
