American rapper Pusha T has reignited hip-hop drama with a blistering diss track aimed at fellow artist Travis Scott.
The 48-year-old lyricist didn’t hold back, accusing the 34-year-old Travis of being disloyal, opportunistic, and emotionally weak.
Mocking Travis Scott over Kylie Jenner’s breakup
Pusha T shared a snippet of the track on Instagram on Tuesday, shocking fans with deeply personal lyrics. In the song, he claims Travis once broke down in tears in front of him after reality TV star Kylie Jenner ended their relationship.
“You cried in front of me, you died in front of me. Calabasas took your b*tch and your pride in front of me. I got the video I can share and AE it, I can’t unsee it, lucky I ain’t TMZ it,” Pusha raps in the clip.
The verse appears to reference a private moment between the two rappers. Pusha further claimed that he possesses a video recording of the incident, though he emphasised that he has chosen not to leak it publicly, yet.
Accusations of disloyalty
In a recent interview with GQ Magazine, Pusha T explained the reasons behind his grudge against Travis Scott. He said his issues with the rapper go beyond typical industry rivalry. According to him, it’s about principle.
“He’s corny,” Pusha said bluntly. “He doesn’t have any loyalty. And that’s something I stand on.”
He pointed to a specific incident that soured their relationship. During a recording session in Paris, Travis reportedly played a version of his song Meltdown—a track that originally included a verse from rapper Drake. However, when the song was officially released a week later, Drake’s verse had been removed.
For Pusha, who has a long-standing feud with Drake, the switch felt calculated.
Stirring the pot in the Kendrick-Drake beef
Pusha also criticised Travis Scott for his role in the ongoing feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. Last year, Travis joined Future and Metro Boomin on stage and encouraged them to preview Like That—a song that featured Kendrick Lamar taking direct shots at Drake.
To Pusha, this move was yet another example of Travis chasing trends and aligning himself with whoever is getting the most attention at the moment.
“He doesn’t have any picks, no loyalty to anybody. He’ll jump around whatever he feels is hot or cling onto whatever he feels is hot,” Pusha told GQ.
A pattern of opportunism?
Pusha T’s criticism paints a picture of Travis Scott as someone who lacks conviction and loyalty, traits that Pusha says he can’t tolerate. According to him, Travis often aligns himself with whoever is trending at the time, instead of standing by his friends and collaborators.
While Travis Scott has not responded to the diss track or the allegations publicly, fans of both rappers have flooded social media with reactions. Some have praised Pusha T for his boldness, while others believe he crossed a line by referencing private emotional moments.
No stranger to rap feuds
Pusha T is no newcomer to high-profile beefs. He previously clashed with Drake in 2018, famously exposing the Canadian rapper’s secret child in the diss track The Story of Adidon. That feud shook the hip-hop world and solidified Pusha’s reputation as a no-holds-barred rapper unafraid to get personal.
With this latest attack on Travis Scott, it’s clear Pusha T is once again drawing battle lines in the rap game. Whether Travis chooses to fire back or stay silent remains to be seen. But one thing is certain, Pusha T isn’t backing down.
