Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has criticised fellow artist Mavo, describing him as “untalented” and overly dependent on auto-tune.
Speaking in a video shared on his social media page, the Zazu crooner alleged that the Shakabulizzy singer lacks genuine vocal ability and relies on studio enhancements to sound good.
Portable made the remarks while reacting to a clip from Mavo’s live band performance, which he described as unimpressive.

According to him, the performance exposed what he believes is a lack of real talent.
“Mavo uses auto-tune. I’ve been seeing some celebrities associating and collaborating with you. You now went to do a live band. Is that how to perform?” Portable said.
He further claimed that artists signed under his label are more talented than Mavo, insisting that true talent is often overlooked in the industry.
“Even my signees sing better than you. Your live performance is shambolic. That’s not how to use a live band,” he added.
The Zazu singer also criticised established stars for supporting what he described as “overhyped” artists, arguing that many genuinely talented musicians are ignored.
“I blame the superstars who overlook real talents and support overhyped wack artists,” he said.
As of the time of this report, Mavo has not responded to Portable’s comments.
