Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has sparked outrage on social media after criticising Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo for publicly commending single mothers.
In a video that has since gone viral, the Zazu crooner verbally attacked Iyabo Ojo, arguing that she is not qualified to advise young people on marriage and family matters.
Portable appeared to be reacting to the actress’ recent comments in which she praised single mothers for their strength and resilience.

During the outburst, Portable made derogatory remarks about single mothers, suggesting that they are prone to promiscuity and having children with multiple partners.

“Which advice do you even want to give to the younger ones getting married? That they should be giving birth for different men?” Portable said in the video.
“One child for one man, three children for three different men?” he added.
The singer’s remarks immediately ignited reactions across social media platforms, with many users condemning his comments as insensitive and misogynistic.
Several critics accused him of unfairly stereotyping single mothers and disrespecting women who, according to them, are often navigating difficult circumstances.
Others also faulted Portable for repeatedly engaging in public attacks on celebrities, noting that his pattern of controversial statements often overshadows his music career.
Iyabo Ojo, who is a single mother herself, is known for openly speaking about parenting, marriage, and personal growth. As of the time of this report, the actress has not publicly responded to Portable’s comments.
