Former Big Brother Naija winner Phyna has called for reconciliation with Afrobeats star Davido, two years after their widely publicised online disagreement.
New Daily Prime recalls that the rift began in October 2023 when Davido liked a post on X (formerly Twitter) that described Phyna’s fans as “useless”.
Reacting at the time, Phyna questioned whether she had done anything to deserve what she perceived as hostility from the singer, even as she congratulated him on welcoming twins with his wife, Chioma.

Davido responded by saying he did not know who Phyna was, a remark that further escalated the exchange. Phyna replied, “God knows me,” and subsequently unfollowed the singer on Instagram.
However, during a recent livestream, Phyna expressed willingness to mend fences and even collaborate with the music star. She disclosed that she would gladly accept an opportunity to stream with Davido and is prepared to apologise to him publicly.
“If I have the opportunity to stream with Davido, I will take it. He senior me, he choke pass me normal. I’m going to tender apology to him,” she said.
The reality star added that before offering an apology, she would like clarity on what truly caused the fallout between them, suggesting that Davido’s action might have been misunderstood.
“We need to understand where that our quarrel really dey come from. Baba Ibeji needs to tell me if na by mistake he like that comment wey cause wahala. Maybe we even took that ‘I don’t know you’ the wrong way,” she said in pidgin.
As of the time of this report, Davido has not reacted to Phyna’s call for reconciliation.
