Veteran Pete Edochie has claimed that he played a pivotal role in the victories of six Nigerian politicians during the 2023 general elections through prayer.
The acclaimed actor revealed that the politicians had visited his home in Enugu, bringing gifts of rams and kolanuts to seek his blessings ahead of the elections. According to Edochie, all six ultimately emerged victorious.
“Two years ago, six people that were running for political offices came to my house, they brought me a big ram and kolanuts, I prayed for them and they all won their elections,” he said.
Edochie attributed their success to divine intervention, expressing gratitude to God for granting his requests. “Each time I make a request from God, he always grants it. All the people I have prayed for have all succeeded in everything I have prayed for them for,” he added.
The revelation came during a courtesy visit by popular streamer Peller to Edochie’s residence, where the actor also prayed for Peller’s continued success in his career.
Responding, Peller thanked the veteran actor for his warm reception and blessings, describing the encounter as inspiring.
Edochie, widely regarded as one of Nollywood’s most respected figures, has previously spoken about his faith and the role of prayer in his life, further cementing his reputation not just as a screen icon but also as a respected spiritual presence in his community.
